Words are studied according to their triliteral roots, concrete imagery, and cultural logic. Theology emerges organically from language, not imposed upon it. The course trains the eye to see Scripture as the ancients saw it: covenantal rather than contractual, communal rather than individualistic, dynamic rather than static. Idioms, parallelism, oral patterns, and Eastern modes of thought are carefully examined so that familiar passages may speak again with unfamiliar depth. Lyali Lubnan: This Lebanese Nights Dessert ( Layali Lubnan ) is a very famous Lebanese dessert widely served all over Lebanon and the neighboring countries It is one of the most served dessert at home because of it’s ease. They are very easy to make. This dessert is one of my most complimented dessert when I host people over. It comes together very quickly and can me made up to two days in advance. Harisse: A very famous Syrian dish a very sweet one, use semolina (smeed) cake. It has a much denser flavor that those made with all-purpose flour. Semolina is mixed with butter, yogurt. Syrup sweetens the cake and is added after it is done. Tahini adds a surprising yet great final touch to Harisse.
