Coming Soon- A New Journey Begins: The Birth of a New Historical Novel
Dear Friends,
For many years I have guided travelers through the hills, valleys, and ancient streets of Jerusalem. Together we have stood upon the Mount of Olives, walked through the Old City, visited the Holy Sepulchre, explored forgotten ruins, and listened to the stories hidden within the stones of the Holy Land.
Over time, a question began growing in my heart:
What would Jerusalem have looked like through the eyes of a medieval pilgrim arriving for the very first time?
That question became the beginning of a new journey.
Today I am excited to announce the birth of a brand-new historical novel:
The Knight, the Horse, and the Black Hound
A Pilgrimage to Jerusalem and the Legacy of the Keepers
This story follows Sir Gawain of Artois, a Crusader knight who leaves his homeland in 1096 and journeys toward Jerusalem alongside his faithful warhorse, Valen, and his loyal black hound, Shadow.
What begins as a military expedition gradually becomes something far deeper.
As Gawain arrives in Jerusalem, he discovers a city unlike anything he imagined a city of faith, mystery, ancient traditions, hidden manuscripts, and forgotten voices preserved beneath centuries of history. Alongside a wise Syriac monk, he embarks on a journey that will challenge everything he believes about faith, identity, purpose, and legacy.
This is not simply a story about the Crusades.
It is a story about pilgrimage.
It is a story about transformation.
It is a story about memory.
Most importantly, it is a story about Jerusalem the city that changes everyone who encounters her.
As many of you know, I have spent my life studying the biblical world through Middle Eastern eyes, guiding groups throughout Israel, and teaching the rich Aramaic and Hebraic context of Scripture. While this novel is fiction, much of its atmosphere, geography, historical setting, and spiritual themes have been inspired by years of walking the land and sharing its stories.
