= Interpretive Commentary
Hebrew root: פ־ש־ר meaning “to interpret, to explain.”
Used exclusively at Qumran to decode prophetic texts (Isaiah, Habakkuk, Psalms) as hidden messages about their own time.
Reveals a sectarian worldview where Scripture is fulfilled in the life of the community and its leader (“Teacher of Righteousness”).
