= Exegetical Investigation
Root ד־ר־ש = “to seek, inquire.”
A form of textual expansion or homiletic interpretation to draw theological or legal conclusions.
While less dominant at Qumran than Pesher, Midrashic tendencies appear in texts like the Damascus Document (CD) and 4QFlorilegium.
