About the event
📜 Midrash (מִדְרָשׁ / ܡܕܪܫܐ) — comes from the Hebrew root דָּרַשׁ (darash) and its Aramaic cognate ܕܪܶܫ (darēsh), meaning "to seek," "to investigate," or "to interpret." 🔍 It is not passive reading—but a spiritual quest for deeper truths, hidden meanings, and divine intent ✨.
🧩 Midrash is the sacred art of asking.
🏜️ At Qumran, the community of the Dead Sea Scrolls embraced this practice to reshape and apply the Tanakh to their urgent moment in history.
🕊️ Through Midrash, they didn't just read Scripture—they inhabited it:
Psalm 2 became about the Teacher of Righteousness 🎓👑
Habakkuk was reimagined as a battle between the righteous and the “Wicked Priest” ⚔️🛐
