Luke Chapter 19: verse 42- 44, reads: now as he drew near he saw the city and wept over it saying, if you had known even you especially in your day the things that make for peace but now they are hidden from your eyes for the days will come upon you, your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side.
Why did Jesus weep over Jerusalem? He wept because they did not know the things that make for peace even in their day, there is a high price to pay for not knowing the things that make for peace and that is, that people will suffer violence.
