“And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family"
In the Near East Jubilee wasn’t just about land or economics, it was about release. The land would rest. Debts were erased. Slaves returned home. It was a divine reset, a kind of liturgical exhale woven into the soil of Israel’s story. And now, in my own story, I feel that same breath rising within me. A quiet invitation from the Ruḥa d’Qudsha (ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ) the Holy Spirit calling me to pause, to return, to realign.
